Gopher is an ancient networking protocol that predates HTTP and ultimately lost the race.

The code is slap-dash and needs a refactor, but I came across this project:

I mostly ported over the Flask project code and adapted it to the oddness of Gopher. To keep it simple I just converted the HTML to Markdown.
